Hi everyone

Here we go again. So much to get through for June – another hugely successful month for the Harriers.

Starting with PARKRUNS 

2nd June 2018

Porthcawl – 11 Harriers ran – personal best (pb) for Sue Ralph 26.59 and season best (sb) for Jane Ogilvie.

Maesteg – 3 Harriers took part with season bests for Paul Speyer and Ian Stratton.

Cwmbran – 3 Harriers ran with a Parkrun pb of 21.47 for Ryan Bunce.

Cheltenham – Chris Deere did an sb and pb at this location of 27.15.

Shrewsbury – 2 Harriers ran with Sophie Deere doing an sb.

9th June

Maesteg – Alex Ford ran a pb at location of 26.08 and an sb.

Merthyr – Chris Jeynes and Joanna Kay stopped here for a warm up on the way to the Castles – Chris was first home and Jo was first lady home – Brackla rules!!!

Porthcawl – 11 Harriers ran – another pb for Ryan Bunce at 21.42 and an sb from Ian Stratton. 

Cheltenham – Chris Deere ran.

Riverfront, Newport – Richard Steele ran.

16th June

Porthcawl – 10 Harriers. Elle Goodridge and Ian Stratton ran sb’s.

Upton House – Andy Wilkins ran.

23rd June

Maesteg – Rowan Hobbs in first place. Paul Speyer, sb, and Alex Ford with a location pb of 26.13 also ran.

Prudhoe Riverside – Mary Beech ran.

Durham – Mark and Jan Francis ran with Jan achieving a location pb of 30.35.

Porthcawl – 14 Harriers ran. Pb from Amanda Moore at 26.56. Stephen Bond ran an sb and Paul Morgan completed his 100th Parkrun.

30th June

Porthcawl – 25 Harriers ran, our largest contingent for some time – something to do with Jane Ogilvie celebrating her 200th Parkrun maybe? Congratulations Jane. Many of us attended Cosy Corner afterwards to help Jane celebrate – and consume the delicious cakes made by Kath Priddle.

Yet another pb from Ryan Bunce at 21.37 and sb’s from Mark Evans and Kath Priddle.

Preston – Joe Beech ran.

Maesteg – Rowan Hobbs ran.

Deva Middle Distance Triathlon

Rack Raid

15 Harriers took part over this 14 leg relay race (Mark Francis ran as Andy Fisher’s guide in view of the varied and uneven terrain).

Great running all round with Chris Jeynes winning his stage and getting his picture on the Rack Raid cover photo in the process.

The Harriers came a creditable 16th out of 26th teams. Well done everyone.

Congratulations to Rowan and Melissa on the birth of their son Heath Finley Kostic Hobbs.

Heath made his appearance on 12th June at 15:46 weighing in at 8lb 2ozs.
