There is a trip to walk Hay Bluff in Hay-On-Wye this Sunday (September 5th). Members are meeting at the Tennis Club at 9 am to share cars. All are welcome.

Members running Cardiff Parkrun on August 7th should meet at the Tennis Club at 7.40 a.m. to share lifts.

There will be a bus running to the Aberdare 10k on Sunday July 4th, leaving the Rec Car Park at 7.30. Entry Forms in Club Bag. If you wish to use the bus and haven’t yet told me please do so right away.

Another successful Castles Relay campaign! 20 amazing runs! Our fastest Castles since we first participated back in 2002. Thanks to everyone who participated and made it happen – next year lets have a Castles committee and share ideas for improving on all the many aspects of planning the weekend.

This week’s Sunday run (June 27th) will be from Pencoed Pool at 8 a.m.

Cardiff Parkrun take place every Sat am, great event, 9am start, flat course,192 runners with a very competitive front end and superbly organised by Le croups Members. We were back in Pencoed before 10.30am.

Good luck to all the Brackla Harriers who are doing the Edinburgh Marathon this weekend.

There will be a Curry Night next Thursday May 27th after training. 

A group of Harriers are getting together to walk Sugar Loaf on June 6th. All are welcome. Members will meet at the Tennis Club at 9 a.m. and share lifts.

There’s also a night out on 18 Dec in Bridgend. Meeting at the Lintern Tree after 7.30 pm.

This week’s Sunday run (Nov 29th) will go from Pencoed Pool at 8 a.m.

Kristian Shearan and Andrew Thomas won the London Marathon places, Lisa David has the reserve place.

Well done to Brackla Harrier Lisa Ekman who ran the Auckland Marathon in 5hrs 37mins.

The next Brackla Harriers Pudding Race Meeting will be held after training on Tuesday 8th December after training.

Can members consider wearing their high visability clothing now that the nights are drawing in. Libby can supply you with a fluorescent bib if you need one.

Members will be meeting at the Tennis Club at 7.45 a.m. on Sunday Nov 1st. They will be lift sharing to meet at Afan Argoed for 8.15 a.m. for the long Sunday Run. Breakfast will be taken at the Cycle Centre afterwards.

Wayne needs to confirm numbers for the Brackla Harriers Christmas do by the end of October so can all deposits and menu choices be in by then please?

Also, if anybody has been rejected for the London Marathon you need to keep your rejection letter to enter the draw for the Brackla Harriers two places. No letter, no entry sorry. The draw for the London places will follow training on Thursday 29th Oct.

We intend running a bus from Bridgend to Pembrey on 22nd November for our annual day out.

The closing date for entry for the Cardiff Half Marathon is Friday 18th September.

The Brackla Harriers Christmas Party is booked for the 5 December in the Hi Tide in Porthcawl. A £10 deposit is needed. Please give your money and food order to Wayne. The menu can be viewed here

Members beware of buying kit from ontherun.co.uk. I received an email from somone who has had a lot of trouble with them and has found loads of complaints from other people online having the same problem. Apparently your bargain goods will never arrive – be warned!
